Building Information Modeling (BIM) and updated software content from Dulux Australia
We have given our Dulux BIM Solutions website a much needed refresh and added some new exciting content.
Website address remains: www.dulux.com.au/BIM
Key points to highlight:
1. The website has a new clean design in 2 sections – one for our Autodesk Revit® Content and one for our Graphisoft ArchiCad® content. These we feel are the two key software programs used in Australia for BIM and Integrated Computer Aided Design and these remain the focus of our BIM content so far.
2. Our new “Duspec Paint Specification Add in for Revit®” is launched on the site and available for download (into Revit® versions 2014, 2015 & 2016) . We recommend you review the user guide and the 3 videos in relation to this (on the Revit® landing page of the website). As far as we know this is the first time anyone – in terms of paint suppliers worldwide – has attempted to create content beyond colour and allows full paint specification data to be attached and tagged to walls and other elements and documentation such as finishing schedules created “within the model”. Specifications are included for our Decorative paints, Protective coatings, Powder Coatings, Texture coatings and our Woodcare range.
3. In relation to the Graphisoft ArchiCad® section we previously only had individual colour files and colour groups available on the site. We have now added the “Dulux Colour Atlas Library Container File for ArchiCad®” which we developed in conjunction with Graphisoft Australia for ArchiCad® 19 but until now was only available on the Graphisoft website. We are now pleased to host this also on our own Dulux BIM Solutions site.
We trust these changes and updates will be logical for clients to find and use – as we aspire to make Dulux Australia the default for BIM users requiring useful paint design content for their virtually modeled & documented construction projects
